In this issue, we will introduce a “head office building LAN line rewiring project” for a client in Yokohama City, to show how we build comfortable office environments from our unique perspective.
Project Overview: From Removal of Existing Equipment to Installation of the Latest Access Points We were approached by a company located in Yokohama City. This mission, which is considered high in difficulty, is not about relocation or renovation, but a “complete refresh of the communication infrastructure in an operating office.”
Current Challenges and Construction Plan
- Removal of Existing LAN Equipment: We will reset the old wiring, which has become complex over years of renovations. If unnecessary wiring remains under the floor, it can hinder heat dissipation and cause wire breaks. A professional’s eye is needed for a “clean break.”
- Installation of the Latest Access Points (APs): We will upgrade from the conventional “as long as it connects” environment to a network that is strong in multiple simultaneous connections, looking ahead to Wi-Fi 6E and next-generation standards.
- Optimization of Wiring Design: We will design a clean wiring route that can flexibly respond to future desk layout changes.
We are currently in the preliminary estimation phase, but we aim to carry out the construction on the optimal schedule so as not to interfere with the client’s operations, following a detailed onsite survey (site survey).
